Ft Worth Cyclocross

After several months of being too busy for anything other than work, I finally had a chance to get out last weekend. Having never seen a cyclocross event in person, I headed to Ft Worth for the local races. It was pretty cold, but there were all ages out riding in the rain, having a blast. Kinda makes me want to go play in the mud!

We are all homeless.

Ordinary folks carried signs at Mockingbird and 75 to help draw attention to the homeless; as part 2 of Willie Baronet's www.weareallhomeless.blogspot.com project.

Wasn't that the problem?

Great old sign shot in Houston during a recent trip. Made me smile.

Church Hill, TN

On location today for Atmos Energy. Hanging out with these welders while waiting for the sun to pop out. Real people are real interesting.

Photo Workshop

This weekend I was one of the instructors at a photo workshop by I ♥ Faces. It's a popular blog started by Amy Locurto, a graphic designer I've worked with for years. Twenty moms from around the country plus one lady from Germany, all came to Dallas to improve their photo skills. We ended with a photo walk around the West End and made this group shot. Such a great class, I really love their passion!

Veterans Day

Just a few of the proud soldiers I was honored to photograph during the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Dallas. Thank you to all those that serve.

Bob

While in Deep Elm, I got a chance to meet Bob. He played a few tunes and tagged along for a while. A documentary film about this gentle soul has been produced and recently submitted to Sundance. Be sure to check out his story here.

Deep Elm

I spent a few hours yesterday walking around with some friends in Deep Elm. I was really surprised how quiet it was. Mostly empty storefronts. The places that are open seem to be busy and people we talked with felt like the area is improving. Here are two of the interesting folks I photographed.

Shot for Barrons.

Scouting shot with Darren standing in for our subject. Then the final image with a few lights added. The story was about Bryan Diers at US Trust/BofA in Dallas for Barrons Magazine.

Tailgate party.

Yesterday's bike ride was pretty average until I turned the corner...
I just had to grab a quick one handed iphone shot to share with everyone.
